Cell phones that can do everything and iPads that sit in your lap.
We scroll through Facebook and Instagram and the (blurry) cell phone snapshots are never lacking.
These images are also forever locked in a digital world, never to be printed and hung on a wall.

I get requests all the time for just digital files.
“Digitals are fine, we don’t need any prints”
Yes, you do.

If I don’t print your images, I can almost guarantee that you won’t do it.  It’s not because you don’t love the images I give you, but it’s because life happens and the last thing on your mind is printing pictures.
But the it happens.
You are scrolling through Facebook and see that ad on the right, from Snapfish, that promises you the world for just $19.99!
It’s a killer deal, so you click on the ad, upload the images I’ve sent you, and click submit.

Do you know how many inks they use or on what kind of paper?  How long will these last?  Did you know my monitor is not calibrated to their printer, and is their printer even calibrated?

I recently ordered a print from my (wonderful) lab.  The image is printed on cotton.  Cotton.  It’s not on a photo paper, but actual cotton Hahnemuhle paper.
The inks are divine, the paper is thick, and the density of the print is perfection.
I promise, you will not get this quality of print anywhere else.

CD’s were replaced by USBs, and USBs will be replaced by something even fancier.
What will we hand our children or grandchildren?  A little piece of technology that has images locked inside?
Will they even own a piece of equipment that can read and show these images?  Probably not.

Hand them a print.
