Kick Off This Magical Season With Some Exciting Houston Fall Activities
Pumpkin Patch — Old-Time Christmas Tree Farm
7632 Spring Cypress Road, Spring, Texas 77379
One of our favorite ways to kick off the fall season is with a visit to a Houston pumpkin patch full of activities. Anyone who has lived in Houston for long enough probably knows pumpkin plants don’t exactly thrive down here. That’s why Old Time Christmas Tree Farm brings in some of the best pumpkins from other farms so you can have your choice. While you are there, you can take a hayride, pet some adorably fluffy animals, and enjoy some treats from the concession stand!

Scream on the Green
1500 McKinney Street, Houston, Texas 77010
If your child is looking for the perfect thrill, Scream on the Green is the ideal Houston fall activity for you. This is a one-night event that happens each year in late October in the Houston Discovery Green. Any scares stay pretty mild so kids of all ages can come in their costumes and have the best time ever! There are going to be living sculptures, games, live music, and a screening of a family-friendly Halloween movie!
Pumpkin Patch Fall Festival
7112 Newcastle, Bellaire, Texas 77401
The Pumpkin Patch Fall Festival takes place once a year during October. Admission to the Houston Fall Festival is completely free, but the games, activities, food, and pumpkins will all cost. Your family is going to get the chance to search for that perfect pumpkin, enjoy some fall favorite snacks, and take lots of pics at the photo op areas throughout the area. And if you don’t have time to spend all day here, you can use their handy curbside pumpkin pickup.

Fort Bend County Fair
4310 Hwy 36, South Rosenburg, Texas 77471
Finally, The Fort Bend County Fair has been a community staple since the 1970s. During their fair days, you will never run out of things to do. In fact, they sell season passes, so you never have to miss a thing! Your family will get to sample their BBQ competition, spend some time at the Ag’Tivity Barn, listen to some live music, and watch the rodeo. All the events are going to kick off in September with a parade.
