Welcome back to The Motherhood Collective, where myself and fellow photographers make a monthly commitment to get in front of the camera with our babies. We are trying so hard to practice what we preach and are holding one another accountable through a monthly blog circle. If you’ve missed the first few months, you can see recent posts here and here.
My goal was to bring my camera to the beach and grab some gorgeous images of us with sandy toes and salty hair. This crazy Texas weather didn’t cooperate, though, so I had to figure out the next best thing. I decided to capture what we do, together, every night, on a daily basis. Charlie will beg or Cullen will grab my pinky finger and lead me to the swing. I get situated, and then fifty pounds of rough-and-tumble boys pile on top.
We swing, and swing, and swing until my arms are burning and the boys catch sight of a bug or mud or their bulldozers. The evenings can be so rushed sometimes, but moments like these make my world stand still.
There are times in life where you can see joy in the eyes of others, and this is one of those times.
