As a Houston maternity photographer team based in The Heights, we photograph maternity sessions in our natural-light studio and outdoors at sunset for women who want something beautiful without it feeling stiff or overdone.

Pregnancy is powerful and emotional and, if we’re honest, sometimes uncomfortable. You might feel strong one day and swollen the next. All of it is real, and all of it is worth remembering.

You’ll have access to our size-inclusive wardrobe for your entire family. We can coordinate professional hair and makeup if you’d like, and we guide posing in a way that feels natural instead of forced. There’s direction, but there’s also a whole lot of laughter.

Sessions move at a pace that feels unhurried. We joke. We adjust. We fix flyaways. We hype you up when you need it. Most clients walk in a little nervous and leave saying, “That was actually so much fun.”

Some clients love the intimacy of our studio. The light is soft and controlled, the focus is fully on you, and it feels calm, intentional, and timeless. Oh and the best part? It’s air conditioned (hello, Houston).

Others are drawn to sunset. The kind of Houston evening where the light turns warm and everything slows down. Dresses move. The sky shifts. It feels organic and a little cinematic, while still refined.

We’ll talk through both options with you. There’s no pressure to choose quickly and no expectation that you already know what you want. We guide you through it.

When to Reserve Your Houston Maternity Session

The ideal window for maternity portraits is between 28 and 32 weeks, however if you’re 36 weeks and suddenly realizing you want maternity photos, reach out. We recommend reserving your session during your second trimester, especially if you’re hoping for a specific date or time on your calendar.

Maternity sessions begin at $2000, with most families choosing to add-on custom artwork as well.

Are we the least expensive option in Houston? No.

Almost everyone says this in their first email.

You do not need to know how to pose. You do not need to “be photogenic.” We guide you through everything in a way that feels natural and relaxed. There is direction, but it never feels rigid. Our job is to help you feel confident, not self-conscious.

Most clients leave saying they felt way more at ease than they expected.

You’ll receive styling guidance after reserving your maternity session, and you’ll have access to our curated studio wardrobe if you’d like to use it. We’ll talk through colors, textures, and what photographs beautifully in both studio light and sunset settings.

If you already have something you love, we’ll build around that. If you have no idea where to start, we’ll handle it with you.

Our contract says three weeks, since we are moms too and need flexibility in case we have a sick kiddo or something comes up. Most weeks, it’s typically a 1-2 weeks turnaround time. We are just as excited to show you the pictures as you are to receive them, promise!

Kids are going to be kids, we know this! With five kids between us, we both are hyper-aware of how parents just want things to go smoothly, have the kids listen, and it not feel like torture.

Luckily we have endless patience, a million games and tricks up our sleeves, and have always been able to bring even three year olds back from the depths of a temper tantrum.

Our best advice is to show up with zero expectations. Let us lead, Trust us that we’ve done this a million times and we aren’t phased.

When you know you want to work with our team, that’s the time to reserve your session. Parents typically reach out in their early second trimester to get the process started. This allows more flexibility in our calendars and prime dates are available.

That being said, if you turned 37 weeks yesterday and suddenly decided you do want maternity photos, reach out! We will always do our best to ensure we can add you to our calendar.
