This summer, I’ve taken a break from outdoor photo sessions (it is just WAY too hot for that mess!) and have been so lucky to have my studio full of newborn loves! These sessions are dear to my heart, I know how fast those first few weeks go and I am honored that so many families come to me to preserve these memories for them. Newborn portraiture can be tricky, crying babies and working with feeding and sleeping schedules, but I surely love this part of my job! I have many clients who have dubbed  me as “the baby whisperer”, I hold that title proudly! As a former labor and delivery nurse, my heart has always had a soft spot for these mamas and littles.

A grandmother holds her grandchild for a Newborn Portraiture shoot. A grandmother holds her grandchild. A baby with dark brown hair is held in the hands of his grandma. A mother and grandma hold a newborn baby. A baby with black hair is swaddled in a little blanket. A couple gaze at their newborn baby during a Newborn Portraiture session. A father holds his new baby in front of his body. A newborn baby sleeps through his Newborn Portraiture session. A baby sleeps on a white surface. A baby boy is swaddled in a cream colored blanket. A baby wiggles free from his swaddle. A mother kisses her baby on the forehead. A newborn sleeps on his mother's shoulder.
