Sugar Land Child Photographer | The Comfort Project Vol 2

The Comfort Project is my personal project for 2015, showcasing children and the thing that comforts them the most.  You can see Volume 1 of The Comfort Project here.

From Eli’s Dad:

Eli didn’t start watching TV until after he was a year old. But when we did finally let him face the TV, there was only one show he was interested in: Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.

He’d watch the introduction song from Daddy’s shoulders, bobbing and shaking as Daddy marched to the beat. When they would name the characters near the end, Eli would always point to Mickey and shout his name, “Nee!” — one of his first words.

Though Eli never really took to stuffed animals, Mom and Dad decided to get him a little Mickey. He loved his Mickey instantly. He would go to bed twirling either the tag or Mickey’s tail ‘til he fell asleep.

In the years since, Eli claims he’s moved on to bigger and better things like Avengers and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. But he’ll still watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse with his younger brother. And though his dog has since chewed up Mickey’s tail, we can’t go to bed or on vacation without bringing “Nee” along with us.
